Why, yes, this is how I iron my clothes, too...

Doesn't everyone iron clothes with a handbag hanging from her--or his--arm? And in heels and a Ladies-Who-Lunch outfit? But why isn't she wearing her hat?

From a 1963 magazine I was thumbing through today.

Too funny! My question is......what exactly is she ironing? I think she took 1 too many little yellow "mother's little helper" pills that morning.

Why doesn't little Suzie just walk around to get to the toy?

She's lost her mind with the stress and she is going to iron her hand so that she will be hospitalized and someone else will take care of her for a change.

She's admiring the diamond ring she's wearing before using the hot iron to steam clean it.

(Maybe we can keep the stories coming)

She's thinking 'I must not crease this skirt, or I'll have to iron it again'

Little Suzie won't walk around to get the toy because she believes her mom is ironing invisible (phantom) clothing.

She's ready to go shopping but first needs to iron out the wrinkles from the paper money.

Suzie knows that if she can reach the button that flips the board up and down, it will be funny.

I wonder if I can get the iron into my purse, you never know I might have to straighten my hair!

She's an alien disguised as a human, and she thinks ironing the ironing board is what you're supposed to be doing. Someone back home got the instructions wrong!

  16. Only The Queen would have her handbag.....I have rarely seen a photo of Queen Elizabeth without it!

The Queen is in disguise as a commoner. What better ruse than to pose with this funny looking card table (she's never seen an ironing board).

she was going to iron her gloves, but forgot to put them on, so she's going to iron her hand instead.
