I have a beautiful aqua crossover suit jacket that is made out of a crepe and lined in satin. It has 2" buttons that are encrusted with rhinestones. It belonged to my grandmother and she wore it in the 1960's, but it may be older. The label has "Alex Maguy Paris". I just want to know who Alex Maguy is and if the jacket is worth anything. I think it may be a size 6 or 8.
The only information on Alex Maguy, Paris I can find is about a private art collector, (who apparently owns a lot of work by picasso, lucky man!)
Wonder if it is the same person? I'm sure someone with a better knowledge of these things will be along shortly..
Do you have a picture? I'd love to see it!
welcome to the forum!!
I agree, I would love to see a picture. You can use your own photo host or if you can reduce the picture to a reasonable size (less than 8" acrossed) you can upload the photo to the forum. We would certainly be willing to help. If you have access to a scanner, a scan of the label would be helpful too.
