Hi! I personally would toss that right in my washing machine on a delicate cycle and hang to dry. In my experience, polyester (and particularly the heavy textured polyester that was everywhere in the 70s) is the toughest stuff on Earth.
Agree - 70s polyester can take a lot and can be well washed in the machine. But go for the delicate cycle anyway.
