Oh Deb, don't say that...! lol :)

I just double checked again on the site.

If you look up other envelopes, they all have a unit price amount, but the unit price on these ones is $0.00

It is one pitiful site to navigate though isn't it!

That's because the Govt is hellbent on using ASP and Microsoft .NET technology, and hiring people because they speak French (not because they know how to program).

    Au revoir!

    I saw these envelopes today.

They are a snow white tyvek plastic (very similiar to the CP padded envelopes without the bubble padding).

They are not padded, and have a huge colored Ebay Power Seller and the logo on the address corner (rolling eyes...).

I checked my order status (which wasn't easy!) and it says they were shipped, and the total is still $0.

I wonder if they'd throw in some white-out for free too? LOL!

I wonder if there'll be 100 of 'em in the mailbox when I get home - apparently they were shipped Xpresspost, but how far could they possibly be going?

Tyvek envelopes, 9" x 12" at Staples are $39.56 100/Box. The bigger ones cost more.

okay Deb (ms newbie :D ), your order was
placed last night, processed and shipped
today......now, does it say where the env are being shipped from? Is it Ottawa, or is the warehouse in TO?

They have to go to a main sorting
    postal station probably, and then
    some postal doughhead has to
figure out where you are in Ottawa, and
more important where Ottawa is. Then they have to get the sled dogs out and load the sleigh (this is after they have
a training session on how to yell "mush" in both English and French).

Oh wait - these are coming Expresspost
right? Okay, that is via pony rather than
dog (but still need a bilingual training session for "Giddyap")

If you are lucky, you will get them Monday
and I will get mine by the middle of next week.

    :D

    Isn't that the truth!

You should go to parts of Nova Scotias south shore, you would swear you're in France with all the Acadian flags, signage, etc.

Sounds like they got them in!
Express is usually 3 days for me from Ontario.

I xpressposted stuff to Toronto and it got there the next day! But it took like 14 days to John's parents in Nfld.

Let's see, French for giddyap... ?

    Allez!

Ok, I tracked my order and supposedly they should be delivered today...

2004/11/25 14:49 OTTAWA, ON Shipping details electronically submitted

I'll believe it when I see it... and if I do see it, I'll probably order more!

got mine today and they are great! They aren't padded, but they are a heavy plastic which is really tough and does not tear easily. SO they are waterproof. They will be great for shipping clothing, although I think I will stick with the padded envelopes for beaded dresses and things with lots of buttons etc. But soft dresses etc. should work great!

I haven't checked my mail yet. I only ordered 50, but think on Monday I will
order some more (have to do it quick, or I will forget how to figure out that site!)

Here we are getting all excited about
free envelopes, and the US members are
rolling their eyes since they get free
    supplies all the time!

    That's great Jonathan!

    Hopefully mine should arrive Monday.
I'll still use my all white pizza boxes, but sometimes I need envelopes.

They are a "tough" plastic aren't they.
Nothing short of sizzors will tear those.
Do you think they made that Logo large enough? lol

I'll have to see if I can find a large enough label to cover it, and put my return address in the middle.

Geez how far can they be shipped when there are post offices all over the place?!

I can't wait to get home and see if mine arrived yet!
