Embroidered 2 pc Outfit...age...ethnic origin??

Discussion in 'PUBLIC Vintage Fashion - Ask Questions Get Answers' started by Beehive Vintage Goods, Mar 15, 2004.

  1. The cutwork embroidery is so lovely on this 2 piece outfit!! The top is small, so I hope there is some lucky gal out there who will fit into both pieces.

Age??? 60's 70's?? I dunno? The pants are a flared capri style. I am thinking Phillipino origin on this. Any thoughts??

Lovely work on this and fabulous colour! The set appears
Malaysian or Phillipino to me also. I had a cute cotton wrap sundress
about a year ago that had similar needlework on it which was
    made in Malaysia.

Would you call these 'flood' pants?

Actually, the more I look at that and think about your statement that the top is small . . . . Could this just be an outfit for a short girl?

Mannis are usually fairly tall, I believe?
Could it be that this is just made for the 5'4" and under crowd?

Regardless, now that capri length is "in" - and I notice they're coming in all sorts of silhouettes, this year, from tapered to flared . . .

Looks very early 70's to me. Very nice detailing.
    Good luck with it. :)

  4. That's a good point regarding the sizing Caroline! I am 5" 5.5" and the pants are short on me though for a normal length pant.

It looks like an Anna outfit to me. =)
