    Wow, that's a good site.

    Those impressive views of the new department stores 'standing alone' always make me think of liners...

    It is Harzfeld's of Kansas City which finally closed in 1984. And I found this info about it.

    sorry i haven't resized this, can't make photoshop shudder into life for me at the mo (darn laptop) but here is one of many lables i just photographed, hopefully i picked a relevant thread..

    from a silk velvet strapless and boned wiggle dress and bolero, side metal zipper. early 50's? i think the westwood store opened in 1951 but i may be wrong!
