Honoring MC

Hi everyone. I hope you have seen the VFG homepage where we have honored MC.

MS/Marcia has had a wonderful idea that will be a permanent memorial to MC. We have a page on the Label Resource that is just novelty labels:

Marcia's idea is to dedicate this page to MC, and to add labels in her memory. I'll be rewriting the page to that effect, but we need your labels! MC loved anything offbeat and quirky, so give us shots of your quirkiest!

What qualifies? From the Label Resource:

Novelty labels have cute graphics or clever names. Sometimes they incorporate puns or jokes. You see novelty labels as early as the 1930s, and they are still being produced today. Sometimes a major company, such as Wrangler, will produce a label that can be categorized as a novelty.


Please post them here, to make it easy for the label team.

What a fabulous idea! Sharing of a novelty label is how I first "met" MC years ago and is a perfect way to permanently honor her memory here at the VFG.

I've given MC a bunch of labels over the years but I'm afraid I've long since deleted those. :( That's OK, I'll just start over and send them in as I get them!

what a *wonderful* idea. mc would be so pleased. or as ms, said, tickled pink (that *would* be something she'd say).

i know i have more, but this is the only one i can find that i titled 'cute label,' intending to send it to her.

I will be hopefully be getting my store up and running again in the next couple of weeks and will send anything I come across in my photo sessions or files!
