Well, I am very disappointed in myself. (BEYOND that)

I am MISSING a button to this cape. And the problem is that it wasn't missing when I got it. It was present, but in the pocket of the cape. Now, it is nowhere to be found. I got this at the very beginning of Feb when the wool season was pretty much over for the intent of bringing it out this fall.

Wouldn't you know it just has not turned up yet???

I am trying to sell through the huge multitude of items I have before i get anything else (almost to the bare walls, than restock selectively) ....but do you think I should just be patient awhile longer...maybe give it a few weeks...sell it around the first of October with the hopes that it may still turn up or do you think I should lot it/ blow it out of here.
(LOL or the devil on my shoulder says - KEEP IT, who cares if you have to wear it in 80 degree weather)

And wouldn't you know Mod is back in this fall...I think I am going to just cry!

i think you should put it to one side and stop looking. or ask your husband to look for you - that usually works for me, especially if i've sworn blind (quite literally) that it's gone for ever...
    it's a great cape!

    I understand your pain.........

I agree, put it aside, look for the button, and give yourself a time date to find the button, if not decide then if you want to keep or sell as is.

I have found that if I begin looking for something else entirely, I will find it!!!

I remember distinctly placing it in my pocket while i was inspecting it so I didn't lose the button, but later when I looked it was nowhere to be found. It is too big for me not to see it. Yikes. When I am done with this major cleanout, maybe it will pop up.

I think you should pray to St. Anthony to help you find it and you will!

Dear St Anthony, please come down
I have lost something and it must be found!!

Or maybe St. Jude, the saint of lost causes lol
  7. Chris, there you go. The first time you said you put it in the pocket of the cape and the last time you said you put it in YOUR pocket. What were you wearing that day???:puzzled:

It was in the pocket of the cape when I got it...then I put it my pocket so i wouldn't lose it while i was turning it inside out inspecting it. It was a pair of jeans, but I checked the jeans later that day and it wasn't there...so that has all been covered and that is why i am such a bonehead

    ACK!

so far in our house a large box of transfers has gone missing, my favourite emerald and diamond pendant put away for safekeeping has gone awol, my husband has lost a duchamp cuff link and yes I have prayed to St Anthony and he ignores me. I wish I could locate the mising items here. I think we have a Bermuda Triangle in this house.

  10. Louise, I know what you mean. I lost the remote to the upstairs TV but finally found it the other day stuffed into the side of the chair.

Now I am looking for a large antique box full of old buttons. Now how could that get away?:duh:
