I was very fortunate in my travels to find a 1946 Jantzen bathing suit. The suit is called "Sun Soaker" and was made of Lastex Velva-Lure. I found this out by contacting Jantzen directly and one of their lovely archivists contacted me with the information. Jantzen offered to purchase the suit and I could not think of anything more appropriate than them having it for their archives, given they are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. When the suit is displayed Born Too Late Vintage will be credited with the find. I also made a very strong case in my emails back and forth that vintage clothing and retro clothing are very popular and it would be wonderful if they would reproduce this bathing suit for sale again. Had this bathing suit fit my oldest daughter, Jantzen would not be getting it. I'd also like to offer the label to the VFG for the label resource. Here are the label and the bathing suit.

Gorgeous suit, Marge! And how fab that Jantzen bought it from you for their archives. Vintage swimsuits are so popular, I'd be surprised if Jantzen and/or other makers didn't come out with some retro lines.
