    HI CHRIS!! :sunshine:

Thanks for directing me to this thread. Yep, I remember when you got married. Of course, it's always preferable to be the one who does the walking, but Mr. Creep did you a favor. Glad you are rid of him! :excited:

Geez, and I thought my year was bad.

I haven't been here that much since last December and I was dismayed to have dropped a few notches in the number of posts contest, as I was in the top ten for some time. At one point in the past I was hoping to surpass you, Chris, but it would have taken a few more years of typing! :hysterical:

I am so sorry to read of your terribly sad tribulations and awed by your resiliency. I am so impressed by your great kindness in nursing your ailing spouse back to health, as he was clearly in need of help in more ways than just his health. I am sure that your greatest gift to a fellow human was less in what you did here, or anywhere else, than in leaving a gentle--and permanent--imprint of kindness and love on a heart that really needed that lesson.

Chris, I'm very late to the "welcome back" party, but a very hearty "welcome back"! It's been great to "see" you back on the boards, but I only now just found this thread in looking for something else....

Yeah, husbands can be real jerks, and your ex really takes the cake. But better he left when he did and not 5 more years of your life down the road. (Having been left with my last $25 by my ex at one point, I can kinda relate, but what I went through was probably a cakewalk compared to where you've been.) You've clearly got great strength and resilience!

    Terrific to have you back!

Hello Chris, we don't know each other (yet) but I just wanted to say hello :hiya: and welcome back. So glad to hear you've made it through the dark days. I've also had experience of an ex-husband so can probably relate to some of what you've been through. One thing I was always sure about was that it wasn't going to affect the rest of my life in a negative way - and it hasn't! Let's hear it for the girls! :excited: :drinkingtoast:
