Hi all! I just got this dress in, 1930s NRA label silk velvet gown with a bad masking tape hem. Anyone have any advice other than just peeling it off gently? The residue may steam off right? I would hate to hack 4 inches off
trying putting a warm wet cloth over it the glue ill be dry and stuck to fabric if you add moisture it might be easier to pull off. It just need time to soak. Steam might just take the paper off and still leave glue there.
