VFG member Jonathan Walford posted on Facebook about this recent runway show of the Viktor and Rolf Collection where they combined pieces of old gowns and dresses. The initial article in "New York Magazine" says the designers were inspired by Kintsugi, a type of Japanese pottery where broken pieces are repaired and dusted with gold or silver to show that imperfections are valorized. We can only hope that the garments used were beyond repair as found.
