Wendy Dagworthy colorful lightweight wool set

Discussion in 'PUBLIC Vintage Fashion - Ask Questions Get Answers' started by The Vintage Vendeuse, Mar 5, 2017.

  1. I found quite a lot of information on the internet about this designer but not a lot of examples of her work or photos of labels. I'd appreciate some help on determining the age of this set. It is marked 100% wool and it is a lovely lightweight fabric with a soft hand. The top is boxy and oversized. The wrap skirt has a paper-bag waist at the sides. 1980s?
    Thanks so much :)

    Oh yes 1980s. Beautiful colors!!

  3. Thank you, Cin, I had been wondering about late 1970s or true 1980s.
    :)
I'm also thinking that the shirt should be tucked in... otherwise the waist detailing would be unnecessary.

  4. Very early '80s, about 1981, maybe '82.

Wow - That's a bold outfit! I agree, definitely should be tucked in to show that waist detail, but I would show it both ways - it's pretty fantastic - and some might prefer the top outside the skirt.
