What\'s With Lilli Ann these days?

<A HREF="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8330860428&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1" target="new">I Know the pictures stink,</A> but is 70's Lilli Ann really that blase'? Or is it just this particular suit that's boring?

    Any ideas?

Oh & BTW - I ended the Addie Masters as I don't think I'll have time for it - for some reason it wasn't set to end til Tuesday & I'll be on the plane by the time I'd get paid.
So if any of you are interested, I will post more pics here & you can U2U me about it - or email me.

Leisa, I am afraid 60s and 70 Lilli Ann doesn't do well. And even the yields on 50s Lilli Ann are variable. This may be a label that , as it has gotten more PR, is coming out of the woodwork in quantities that are holding the price down.

    What Hollis said.

For later things, i find that the label is just the "icing on the cake" being a Lilli Ann. For example if i was looking for a nice light colored suit, (and if it fit me) and it was between the 100s that were available on ebay, I would pick the Lilli Ann over many others because of the quality and name recognition. But i wouldn't buy it to collect.

I think with the modern lines of this suit, you will be looking for a customer that might be wearing it to an event or work. I think since this is not the collectible Lilli Ann, it doesn't mean anything to a modern wearer who has never heard of it, so if you relist if it doesn't sell, tell them why they want a Lilli Ann versus another brand they may or may not have heard of...play up the elements that make it a better suit than a lot of things they could get.

I know you "show" some of the details, but explain what they are looking at and why it is so much better too.

I am wondering, Leisa, is the size actually marked "6" or is that your estimate? Just asking because by measurements if it was 70s and size marked, it would probably say "size 10".

Its a pretty suit, and i hope someone buys it.

It doesn't have a size tag, Chris. I say it's a 6 because of the measurements. OMG - didn't I put a measurements box in the listing? (running to see - I'm such a space cadet!)

    whew!

It will fit a modern day 6. That's what I put in my measurements boxes.

As to the pics - I see what you're getting at. I tried to keep these listings pretty basic. I think the suit is probably just to run of the mill, style wise. I would go into the tailoring detail if I were inclined to relist it . It's only had 10 hits, so if it doesn't sell, it's off to charity. No More Boxes for me! I've hit my limit! LOL

    Thanks for the input, Ladies.

I have had several late 60s/70s Lilli Anns and they just don't seem to do well at all. The earlier 60s very mod coats seem to do well however.
