I have yet to go to a Whitaker auction, but it sure would be fun to see the clothes.

Here is a1980s Christian Lacroix party dress

And then we have (for Lizzie) a 1904 ladys wool bathing costume

And I always swoon over silk chiffon dresses from the 30’s.

    Darn it.

    I wanted to go. :duh2:

But I haven't had time to do any research lately on upcoming auctions. Gah.

This is going to be a really good auction. Karen says there are 20,000 things to sell in the discovery sale Fri afternoon, alone. She called to ask me if I was going but I just can't this time, it's too far away and with the B&B overnight expenses and the price of gas, I won't have the discretionary income, so to speak, for purchases this time around.

There's no more internet bidding anymore at these events, either, no more ebay live. So somebody in the room could get some good deals. My favorite things are the 30's chiffons, she has a bevy of them to sell. ** Sigh** :duh2:
