Last post for awhile I swear! I do appreciate everyone sharing their knowledge. The last scarf is really strange, and not one I would show my grandma! But I love it! There are no tags, labels, signatures or care instructions on it sadly. I have looked all through the image for a small brand name/signature but I am sure there is not one there. The fabric feels like satin/acetate. Again the edges are rolled which makes me believe it may be fairly old. Sorry that I do not have more info to provide on this one. That's rather wonderful. I'm not sure on age but I look forward to hearing what others say. As per my other post, a hand-rolled edge is not an indicator of date, scarves are produced like that today - but it is a sign of quality.
I especially love the little red modesty dots on the ladies breasts! Thank you again on the rolled edge. This place is just full of things for me to learn!
The print is definitely a lot of fun and something so different. I can't find anything too similar to help date it except some Hawaiian shirts, but they don't have the archer or the animals.
The graphics look 1930s/40s to me. I wouldn't expect to see casual nudity with nipples on a woman's scarf in the 1950s - so maybe postwar 40s when things are still a bit more liberal. Weird mix of African animals and Polynesian maidens...
I also thought the humans and animals didn't match up at all, but just put it down to a lack of knowledge by the artist or that they were just going for a general "tropical" theme and chose the most recognisable motifs. Thank you for the suggestions of the 40s! That is exciting that it is so old, and yet still in such good condition. Thank you everyone
