Recently bought a 60s (?) Betty Hartford shift dress and could not find much on the label apart from other dresses for sale. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on it..Thanks!

In a very quick look I found that "Betty Hartford" was a label for the dresses from R. Kolodney & Co. HERE is a link to information about Kolodney's company and employees on strike there.

Thus far I have seen references to R. Kolodney & Co from at least the late 1930's and I THINK the reference also mentioned Betty Hartford, but I need to go back and find it, to confirm that earlier date...

I forgot to scroll down further, where you will see the 1937 date confirmed. It also notes that the trademark was owned by R. Kolodney & Co.
