I was admiring a vintage dress made of "chemical" lace and I wanted to learn more about how it was made and how it differed from handmade lace. I googled around and found an explanation by eBay seller twist-in-time. She said I was welcome to share it here. She has some excellent photographs. I'm going to use my jewelry loop from now on to look at lace.

For some reason I can't make the link work on this post !
