I know little to nothing about shoe styles and dating them, my first instinct just on style was 70s does 30s but that's pure speculation. Since looking at the label resource here and some other research I'm very confused by the label, it's very similar to the one in the label resource from the 80s onwards and has 'Salvatore' rather than the earlier 'Creations' label, but it also has the more complex styling with the overlapping shapes and letters of the 'Creations' label that I've not seen in the examples posted and dated to the 80s onwards. I'm wondering if it's a transitional design from before the simpler 80s one came in? It does seem to match the 50s example in the label resource. These have a slingback strap, crochet and suede squares making up a cloth toe and hand written size and what I presume is a product number. The label is indented where it's been stamped in rather than just stencilled on top. I also read that Ferragamo shoes can be hard to date by style because they were fairly unusual designs and also reissued them often with just small changes. My shoe style knowledge is low so I can't tell by things like heel shape/height etc. Any input greatly appreciated!
They are made after Salvatore's death in 1960, but they are honest pair of Ferragamo shoes. The patchwork leather is something he first did in the late 1930s and revived in the 1950s and the company revived it into the 60s/70s/80s. These look mid 60s to me, c. 1963-64-65
