This is a photo I own and bought awhile back..

Sad that I know the photographer is known, but i can't think of them right now..... the whole photo didn't fit on my scanner so the composition is not done justice.

Is the model anyone anybody has seen before? i was just curious. maybe not...but thought i would ask.

Definitely not Twiggy..! But I don't recognize her, either.

  4. Check out that website. It looks like twiggy to me.

I'm pretty sure this is Suzy Parker. She was one of Richard Avedon's fav models and considered the first 'supermodel' of the 50s into the 60s.

She was also 'the face of Chanel' at the time.

Gee, and here I thought it was an altered (graphically, not surgically) Lauren Hutton. Too glamorous?

  8. Thanks guys! I didn't immediately think Twiggy...and i didn't know about Suzy.

In comparing their features closely...Twiggy has fuller lips, and it appears she has a shorter chin....and is slightly wider acrossed the bridge of the nose.. (although makeup can play tricks of course). the eye makeup treatment does look a lot what i would be used to seeing Twiggy made up like..and can totally see why one could come to that conclusion...

I saw the photo of Suzy and at first didn't think so..but it is hard when the makeup is radically different...
I put the photo of the photo and Suzy next together and carefully analysed...they do appear to have the same lips, face shape...i think what threw me off was the eyes as they are really changed by the makeup treatment.,,

I am leaning towards that it is probably Suzy.

and it could have been Richard Avedon....

the nose and the bow in the lips make me think that this is Suzy. She's got a very peculiar nose-- kind of like Jodie Foster's.

Here's a message board for people looking for model IDs - maybe it's more contemporary, I'm not sure, but I'll bet someone can help you! It's a weird board, because it looks like the dates jump all over the place - I do see some from September in there, but they're mixed up - weird.

  11. I checked it out, thanks!

I am pretty confident about Kristine's id, but i made an inquiry to whether anyone was knowledgeable about 60s models....because it might be a good additional group/resource to know about in case the need should arise again :)

I dug out the photo because way back when we were doing the hat game thread...Pauline had a pic of Solena in a hat with a big feather that made me think of it (i didn't find the photo until recently, though)
