I don't know if i would call it a coat. Maybe an overlay....or a two piece dress? sorry i don't have a good buzzword. It is too long to be a bolero...

Wait til someone else comes along with something more concrete...

Tricky isn't it? I don't know what to call it either other than, "get the HECK outta my closet!" ;)

hmmmmmm...."vest" just doesn't give the proper impression.

I think Chris' "lace overlay" sounds pretty good.

I think I'd call it a "sleeveless lace coat" or "sleeveless lace overcoat." Maybe a "long lace vest?"

Should I mention it in the title? I feel like it's gonna take up alot of space & might be a turn off if people don't realize what it is.
Am I right on the 60's though?
And should I throw Gold Lamé in the title?

Tabard. although that implies a Renn Faire/Edwardian sensibility.

Hmmmmm... so should I throw Tabard in there?

  10. Stunning outfit! I would say early sixties... Could you call it a lace wrap? Maybe use "cocktail" in the title? And I love your manni's hairdo by the way.

But a tabard is always one piece across the front and back and open at the sides, isn't it?

    Thanks!
I wish my hair was like that!!!
Now that you mention it Cosmic, I think Tabards do. They're more associated with 20's flapper stuff too isn't it?

    How about:

    60's Gold Lamé Marilyn Dress w/Lace ........
    uh......
    with lac.........
    uhhhhhhhhh

  13. I'm tempted to call it a lace "modesty" wrap. But frankly, the dress will sell itself. It's lovely. The lace overlay is an extra bonus in my opinion.

I would describe it as a dress with an lace overlay....

And no these are not proper keywords to use!!! Lace Overlay is what I meant!
