A Hat Question, if you don\'t mind

    Ah a hat queation.
This came is a large lot from West Virginia. Most were 40s, some 50s and one 60s. This one is so fresh that I am thinking an 1980s hat snuck in along the way. It is grey felt, rather stiff, with black grosgrain ribbon and black net veil. It's in great shape. The there is an elatic cord - again, pretty fresh. The felt is stamped 'Peachfelt 100% wool Geo. Bollman & Co Inc. Made in U.S.A. '

    So vote:

    1940s or Princess Di 1980s?

    Thank you!

If I had not read your explanation, I'd have thought 80s. What I really wish is that I knew more about hats!

Very good - I really thought it was, just wanted to be sure. If I hadn't gotten it with so many 40s hats I wouldn't have even wondered
