Another dumbo fabric query...

    Just settled down to describe this and realised I wasn't sure about the right term for the bodice fabric. It's metallic tinsley thread machine stitched into flat decoration with a black thread contrast - some raised horizontal lines but not really stitched in relief.

    I assumed an early-mid-60s date for this... but shout out if you think I'm wildly off!

    i honestly don't know about the fabric. i would just describe it as you did..metallic thread, et al. for lack of a more specific, narrower term. maybe there isn't one and its unique
