Hey! New here! My names Kylie. I recently come across this old purse! It has a very small metal tag on the inside that reads "Mesh Whiting & Davis Co. Bags" and what looks like reads "(unknown US & Can" Very neat in my opinion. I need help identifying the year it was made and what you think a piece like this might be worth. Then possibly pointing me in the right direction to who buys these types of antiques? Thanks for looking!

You are right about it being 1920s, and you have the maker's name, which is a well recognized name, so that's good. They are desirable, but not as much as they used to be - prices for these and other similar bags including beaded ones have deflated over the past twenty years due to, I think, over-abundance in the marketplace via eBay and similar venues. the VFG doesn't price things, but you should be able to find similar metal mesh bags from Whiting and Davis online and see how they are priced. Keep in mind if they are still available, then they are very likely over-priced.
