A sneak preview of some auctions I will be posting Sunday, May 16...

Victorian and Edwardian clothing and undies, accessories, fashion magazines from the 1920's, vintage sewing notions and even a corset!

Jonathan, the skirt is a TALL size and if my waist was 28", it would be sitting in my closet :) It's a spotted moire acetate taffeta. I'm dating it to the late 40's/ early 50's?
Here is the condition report from my auction and the C&C listing:

The skirt is in lovely condition and is strong enough to be worn. It does have wear around the hem line from use and brushing the floor and there is wear to the fabric at places near the waist band. There are also some small very light marks from use and age but nothing major or glaring. The fabric is strong and sumptuous with no rips and could be worn or displayed.

Sue, I had fun putting it on my manni and arranging it! It does flow lovely doesn't it! :)

Hollis, I have to be strict with myself when it comes to collecting so I can bear to part with this one. I wish I could keep everything though!
