Does anyone have info on this one? The later it is the more straps for a garter I see but have never seen just one. I was thinking 1910’s - 1920’s but could be later. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I've seen the single center strap described as a "waist hem strap," but I'm not sure if it's to hold something up, or to keep the bra in place - as I believe this style is from the 1920s, and bras weren't as structured as having boning like corsets of the decade earlier, or shaping like decades to follow.
