It is in a beautiful 1950's dress, but I have not been able to find anything on it.

Here is one note, from a 1961 article: “Mr. Benjamin is to Benjamin-Hubert what Rogers is to Hart — one half of two tremendous talents. This team co-authors couture successes, directly traceable to their theater backgrounds, Mr. Ben as a professional dancer and Mr. Hubert as an actor. Their collection displays superb tailoring, restrained, but effective ornamentation and glistening precious-jewel tones.”

    ...
and from a 1962 article: “Two young California designers, Mr. Benjamin and Mr. Hubert of Benjamin-Hubert Inc...have attained recognition in the fashion field from coast to coast for their interpretation of young, fresh, colorful, daytime cocktail dresses and a scattering of ball gowns...The drama of Mr. Benjamin’s and Mr. Hubert’s designs may be traced to their backgrounds in theater. Mr. Benjamin has been a professional dancer and Mr. Hubert was an actor on stage and screen. Their collection is three years old and their work is known for “sculptured” lines and arcitectural motifs.”

THIS link indicates “Mr. Benjamin” was Benjamin Cohen.

And here is a notification from the state of California:
