I found a gold brocade 1960s suit. Late 60s early 70s? A bit of a nehru jacket look.

Lord and Taylor label and Ardanti label.

I see many vintage patterns with Prominent Designer but find little in the way of actual designs.

Always fascinated how designers can be hard to find from not so long ago.

    Any help appreciated. Sandy

From what I found, it looks like Ardanti was not a designer, but a dress company. I found, in a 1971 Dallas city directory, an entry for a "manufacturer's rep" for Ardanti Dresses. Also, a 1961 pattern ad noted the "scalloped jacket (was) designed by Dick Martini for Ardanti."

...and from a 1960 pattern ad: "...a new young American designer, Jay Stanleigh...brings his Paris couture experience to the well-known house of Ardanti."
