Could you call these chicks atomic

This dress is probably early 60's Taillored by McMullen for Hutzler Brothers ( which was a pretty nice clothing store in Baltimore) I had info on it and need to find it. I also think I have had tops with the name McMullen.

And just for your enjoyment another dress with the same label ( only thing is the zip was replaced with a nylon one)

    Hi Pauline,

The chicken print doesn't say atomic to me unfortunately,
I'm blank at what to classify it as.

Both these dresses are very crisp and fresh, summery looking...I would use sundress in the title. I particularly like the second one with the full skirt!

I'd say "eclectic" or "quirky" or "fanciful" mid-century maybe??? Cute print though!

  4. Cute dresses! I don't see Atomic either, sorry. "Funky Chicken Sundress"???? lol

Those patches of grass were really throwing me off. I like quirky! I am afraid if I used funky someone may think 80's

I was even trying to think of a twist on hen pecked. But couldn't come up with one.

I like quirky too :) (and when I was using SELLATHON, i noticed "funky" actually got a few hits!)

Also..maybe they are partridges? or pheasants?

welll...if the title said "Atomic chickens" (and atomic seams to be a searched word) I would definitely have to look at it. atomic sofa, atomic fabric, atomic ashtray, but i have never seen atomic chickens : _)

  8. :D I just like the sound of atomic chicken, too. Would the little 'things' on the heads and the chins make them roosters?

"Novelty print" can sometimes be a draw. ?

Maybe you could call them 'Queer (as in Odd) Roosters'.

That oughtta get a few hits.

    <font size=1>Sometimes I just crack me up.</font>

Actually I really do think they're roosters rather than hens or chicks.
Which also opens up the door for "Crazy Cocks."

    <font size=1>O No - I can't stop!</font>
