    What a hoot.

Possibly anyone ever heard of this brand and dating please?

1910ish or more flapper time? The script looks more earlier.

    Thanks for any help.

The script does look earlier, do you think the laces should maybe go on the back? I can't really tell what the part with the hooks and eyes looks like but I thought they may be meant to go in the front.

    I found ads for B & J bust confiners from 1906 to about 1926.

Haha. Maybe it does need to be turned around.
The part hangs down what is that for? Attaches to something?
    Could easily be cut off.

Thank you Lynne for that information.

Took me 3 days to clean it to this stage.
The label is why I picked it up.
    Pretty large size.

Don't cut it off. It is supposed to attach to the laces of a corset.

I would have thought this was worn instead of a corset? looks like a transitional garment to me from corset to brassiere. Did the tapes have boning or channells for boning in them?
I would have said the tape and keyhole was to hook onto your underskirt.

Here is one 1907 ad for a B&J bust confiner, for reference:

    That is fabulous Lynne.
    Thanks so very much.
So the lacing goes in the front.
It sort of falls naturally that way.

Still not real sure if it is a corset or a brassiere though.
