Betsy Bloomingdale exhibit

    If you live in New England, you must see the Betsy Bloomingdale exhbit in Lowell MA.

    Some of my favorite dresses are the YSL black and yellow--peek under the dress to see the skewed ruffle.

    The black scalloped Givenchy. First, strips of scallops were made, then sewn to the base design at an angle.

    Lastly, for now--the long blue embroidered Dior. The fabric pattern matches beautifully at the zipper. The dress has applique seams--look for them to see if you can tell where the motifs have been cut off and resewn on the skirt and around the neck edge.
