Any assistance identifying this label would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if the accompanying piece is a skirt or a cape.
HERE is trademark information for Billy Bo...and HERE. Is there some sort of opening and/or closer on the accompanying piece? A zipper? Is the 'waist" elastic? If it is a skirt, how would the wearer get into it?
From THIS online publication we read: "A Greek version of Halston, Billy Bo staged elaborate fashion shows with international guest stars, like super model Pat Cleveland, and was on the verge of going international when he died of AIDS, shortly after his first shoot for Elle US." (in 1987, I assume, based upon the dates in the prior post).
From HERE: "Born in Ithaca in 1946, (Makis) Tselios spent his childhood years in Piraeus. At the age of 25, he met Vassilis Kourkoumellis. The two men went on to form an enduring partnership which rocked the local fashion scene in the late 1970s and '80s. Their label, Billy Bo, became widely known and sold in Greece and also ventured abroad. Highlights from the house of Billy Bo range from the design of Olympic Airways uniforms in 1980 all the way to a high-brow collaboration with American department store giant Neiman Marcus, also in the 1980s. The good days came to a halt with the untimely death of Kourkoumellis in 1987."
Hello! There are three hooks, no zipper or elastic. I’m thinking it’s an overlay for the dress or a cape and not a skirt. Thank you!!!!
