Black vintage bag info please

Hi, I’ve just come across this super little vintage bag. Any info would be gratefully welcomed. Measures approx 10 x 7 inches and has fabric? Outer material. Has no makers details inside. Thank you.

This is a Cordé purse. They were made in the 40s and 50s. Judging by the shape and handle, as well as size, this appears to be 1950s. I LOVE these bags. The closure looks really pretty, as well - is it shell?
