    Morning everyone,

I was wondering if I could get some help on this dress. I really wish I would have sold it during the holidays, but either way, it's GOT to GO! Any suggestions as to how to list it and if it's a dress or lounger? Price?

With the front zipper, it could be a lounger, but the snug midriff fit and fabric choice make me think it's a dress with the zipper as a design feature. I would say very late 30s into early 40s, say 1938 - 1941 or so. Very pretty and a nice combination of machine embroidered taffeta? and velvet trim.

    Thanks Hollis!!

I'm not much of an expert on fabrics... and always presumed that taffeta was like chiffon??? It feels almost like satin or silk.

  4. That is so pretty!! I really like the colors and I am a sucker for embroidery. Good luck with it!!

Thanks Bonnie! I really like it myself! It was weird when I found it too.. .totally shoved into rack, right next to a bathing suit from the 20s!!
Can anyone recommend a price range on this?

Ditto to what Hollis said. Its probably rayon. I will bet you a gazillion dollars that it ends up selling to someone in England. Definately list it in the WW2 clothing era. I have sold a lot of late 30s/40s dresses the past few months and providing its in good condition I would start it at $49.99 with a $125.00 BIN. You have a 50/50 chance of it selling on the BIN, otherwise, it should end up between $60 - $85.00

Oh wow! Thanks SO much everyone! I'll be doing a listing frenzy on Feb 12th, so it'll appear on the Sunday the 13th. I may take some better pics of it outside this weekend. I'm a bit disappointed at the way all my pics turned out after taking them all inside :(
Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate it :)

(p.s. my seller ID is DameDeLux, previous known as DameDeVille)
