    Hello all VFG'ers

I am trying to see if anyone can give me any insight into the era and how to read the codes on this label.

It is from a beautiful pink with black accent leather jacket and I can't find any resources that tell me how to read the jacket label codes.

I believe from what I've read from all of your posts it's circa 1980's

Thanks in advance for any information IMG_0140.jpg !

Can you please post some photos showing the whole garment? This will help us with dating as well, not just the label.

    Hi Midge!

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I am shooting some shots tomorrow and will post. Any specific close ups that will help with identification?

It is beautiful - lamb leather and silk lining. I usually associate this type of material content/care label with the 80s and 90s, shape-wise it looks more later 90s to me. But let's see what others have to say.

  7. Beautiful jacket. I’m seeing 80s. Most likely it was a suit jacket that would have had a matching skirt.

No help with codes though and we do not authenticate here.

  9. I'm seeing early '90s.

Fashion companies use internal codes, that aren't usually decipherable by the rest of us, but I can tell you that the red marking on the label suggests it might have been marked down in a sale or a second, which is to say that it wasn't eligible to be returned for credit or refund.

Anyone else curious about the addition of the chain to the inside hem on a leather jacket? it's hardly going to weigh it down nicely like it would on a linen jacket for example.
