I'm hoping you can help with an idea for dates on these - and possibly a hint as to what the lace is, and a starting price???

    (1) Black net mantilla with coloured flowers, colours are quite deep especially the red -

    (2) Black net mantilla with a silver/white edging and flowers

    (3) This one is cream and is all lace, not like the other two which are a net lace. This one is also much longer in length, the sort you could wear on the head with the ends thrown over your shoulders.

Any ideas or help MUCH appreciated.

Those should do very well Margaret they are the prettiest I have seen. Sorry no help on the lace, I don't think I have ever seen them with the colored flowers. Make sure to put Catholic in the title.

I just aquired a few myself this weekend. And some are unusual.

I remember every lady going to church with a new hat and it was like a fashion contest. Then all of a sudden when Jackie Kennedy wore one to JFK's funeral the ladies were all tossing the hats for these. Much easier to wear.

  3. Gorgeous! I collect them and wear them tied in my hair, but haven't seen any like your flowered one and have no expertise. I'm bumping this for the almighty lace people.
