Looking for a date on this mint green jacket/coat. It’s quilted, with a very light fluffy velvet-like fabric for the collar, cuffs and pocket decoration. It’s entirely lined and no tags or labels anywhere. Thank you!
I think that might be part of a pyjama or lounging set, and would have had matching trousers. Does it have shoulder pads? It's gorgeous!
Oh, I love those! I have seen 50s blouses with that crazy collar that looks like a 70s daggar collar.
Agree, pants would not have been quilted though, either black satin or maybe the same coloring as the jacket.
Jammies!! I hadn’t thought of that! Would it have just had pants, or would it have also involved something on top besides this piece? Something worn underneath? Because it seems an awful lot to sleep in!
They were lounging pajamas. Worn as a hostess outfit when entertaining, or for just hanging out, loungingvaround. ...I don't think people lounge much anymore.... Oh and yes, there would have been pants, as previously stated.
Probably just pants, though not impossible it was a three piece set. Here's an early 50s pattern for something similar, which says "for your sleeping and lounging comfort"
