Dating antique silk gown

    I found it from a family moved from Florida. The dress was stored in an antique store box. The box contained 2 antique dresses.
    The details on the top are beautiful.
    The skirt has a train.
    I think this was a wedding dress?
    Let me know if you want me to post the other dress too. :)

    That is gorgeous! It is Edwardian era, cannot get an exact year without seeing a better view of how the sleeves play out when on a dress form or person. A good estimate is 1901 -1904. Is the train a separate piece from the skirt, (attached somehow at the waist) or is the trained skirt all one piece? It might be a wedding gown but not necessarily.

    Yes, we would love to see the other garment.

    Congratulations, that is a real prize if it is in good shape.
