I came across a box of old costumes. Can anyone help date them by the construction and embellishment? Thanks in advance! Trish

You might have better luck researching zippers. The Talon zipper in the close up looks like it might be 1940's, but a better photo showing it in its entirety will help date it accurately.

For some reason they remind me of Mummers costumes. Maybe 1970s era, but I am not at all sure on the dating.

Never mind, I looked it up. I feel silly, I've never heard of it before. I'm in Nevada with Burning Man and casinos...

The Mummers should parade through Burning Man! Now THAT would be a sight. Pretty cool, actually. They would have a lot of competition for outrageous costumes.

OK, here are the zipper photos. One Talon nylon, two Talon metal, one Best metal. Thank you!

The Talon on the lower left looks 1960's, the others 1970's.
