Dating Joan Leslie dress

    I am assuming it belongs somewhere in the 60s to 70s but I thought I would ask to be sure. I think it might be linen. It's heavy, lined, with a back plastic zipper closure with 3 buttons and little front pockets. Thank you!

    nice - that square seaming on the front is quite a mod feature. I would say mid to late 1960's. I'd suggest the hem wasn't original as it's very rough and the only nylon thread blind hemming I've had on a commercial garment was done by machine and the nylon thread sewing here appears to be hand sewn.

  5. Agree with '60s and that nylon hemming thread was popular in the '80s so the hem might have been adjusted at that point.
