I purchased a lot of hair accessories and these two little things were included, not sure what they are called or how they are used,
or how old they could possibly be. These may be something very obvious so excuse my ignorance.

They feel like some sort of metal, maybe brass?? not sure... and some sort of pearly white plastic.

They are ladies' cufflinks, I believe. Probably circa 1950s.

They are called button links, button cufflinks or double sided cufflinks. Mother of pearl is a popular material. Worn by men, too.
