Hey all...it really pains me to sell this, but despite having lost weight, I have come to the realization that this will never fit me, (and only by a couple inches!!) so i am reluctantly going to list it. It bums me out because it fits me so well in the shoulders ...nope. getting reduction to make this one a wardrobe reality is not the way to go LOL : (

I had a heckuva time getting it on the half manni...does it look horrible the way it is photoed with the neck slightly open.??? (hey...this half gal has a thick neck, what can i say??() whaddya think??? Or will this fly okay the way it is. Just putting it on the hanger did nothing for it. i thought i was tiny, so hopefully someone out there is tinier than i or just wants to collect it...

To me the neck looks fine, my first thought was "wow - that is nice!". The hem looks out in the 2nd photo.

I can relate when things don't fit the manni, not a snowball's chance in h-e-double-hockey-sticks that they would fit me!

The second photo was taken "looking up." i usually stand on a stool to get it more at eye level, but didn't have the stool..so the back hem is showing because of the weird angle. thanks for catching that!

The pain is that it ALMOST fits me...those are the worst ones - not the ones where there is not a snowballs chance. it is actually BIG in the waist and measures 34/35(have to check)- 26.5- 34/35 and 36" at the fullest (the "thighs" if you will). It appears not to have enough of a seam allowance in teh bust to work...oh boy, if it did, i would definitely have altered it!

I find that alot of those cheongsam dresses are small in the bust. Sad for my 40 D's!

It looks lustrous and as if the fabric were aligned with care, too.

I wouldn't have noticed the collar seeming open and didn't notice the camera angle--but do wonder if the dress may 'come out' looking disproportionate in the gallery view photo, once it's teeny tiny. ?

Chris, I think your pics look great. Maybe make mention that the back hem is showing at the bottom due to the angle of the shot...the hem is not
    coming down.

Good clarity to the fabric print and colour!

Since that is such a good pic i may photoshop the "hem" out. its a difficult color to get to photograph right, and these photos (at least on my monitor are pretty darn close).

and Justine - i am very sad about cheongsams in general. i was hoping that there would have been some made for the american market (and not the hawaiian versions) that are not cheap rayon that actual fit ladies who are thin but um....well...more "endowed" than your average 12 year old girl in Asia.

proportionately, because i am very petite otherwise...less than 15" across the shoulders, size 5 bracelets, et al...you would think i could carry off this dress....alas, but no!! so close....yet so far away!! :(

as far as opening bid value, i really think this one is good enough to at least start it at $18.99. $24.99 might be really sticking my neck out there...but you know what....if i saw this in a physical shop i would be willing to pay way more than that. so dunno.

I also thought about crossposting in the ethnic/asian/other cat just like there is a HUGE hawaiian apparel cat in collectables/ethnic/hawaiian/clohthing but will have to do much more research on that....
