I get this Come fly me or with me feeling ( can't remember which they said in the commercials ) looking at this kinda mod set.

Knit is like some of the butte knits I have had. Label is Rona ( New York) and Rona made some nice quality garments if they are all like this one. Buttons are two tone blue and red. Jacket and dress Dress being an a line and Jacket ( if you can see it in the photo) has a cute little curve near the waist.

I am thinking early 70's on this

<br> There are metal pieces on both pieces.

That was the commercial with Kim Basinger singing in it wasn't it? "Come fly with me" was sinatra. I think the airline was "come fly me," but i could be totally totally wrong. - that could have been the first too.

Can't see the pics yet, but will log off and try to come back on and see if i can see them.

Margaret said the woolmark, as seen on your label, was introduced 1964, which is good to know.

The suit looks c. 1970 on the nose to me.

Didn't we have a link to a guys website giving his collection of air hostess uniforms? It was a while back, and unfortunately I didn't keep it.

I think it's super divine and *very* mod (in the British sense of the word, American mods are a little more far out and groovy I think), and very much in our favourite colours - the new generation of mods are fascinated by the union jack and target pop-art influenced clothing, so red white and blue are our fave rave clothing colours!

And it could very easily be a stewardess uniform, there are so many from the late 60s/early seventies in the sort of style. Geometric, brightly coloures, smart and stylish.

The best place to check would be:

I would especially love to have the United Airlines pieces from the 60s, they are so fabulous.

    love, moons and starrs,
    Senti.*

oohhh, and if you're into Pucci... check out the Braniff International section of that website, it'd be worth doing the job just for the uniform!

Thanks Senti I looked at that site yesterday and couldn't find anything like it on there. Most of the ones he has are from the 80's and 90's when he started collecting.

But thanks for all the mod info!
