Dress dating help - is this original?

Hi all

I have this lovely two-piece dress (one part being the matching slip) which I believe is made from chiffon silk (it's definitely silk as I performed the burn test). It appears to be handmade (only simple stitching).

The person who I bought it from stated that it was 30-40s but I don't see that at all. Having looked at styles from the 20s/30s I have started to think that this is maybe from the mid - late 20s (1926 - 1928) based on where the hem-line falls, which is just at the knee (only a little part of the knee caps show).

So, does this look like it could be from the 20s and if so, does it seem original?

(I realize that I could have not got the tie right and it could go to the front and not the back? It could be better tied).

It looks 20s to me as well and is adorable! What a color and print! Can't help but think of a summer afternoon when looking at it!

Agreed on '20s and suspect the ties are missing a small bakelite buckle, so that the plain ties go through it and create a bow over the floral ties.

Lovely set.
