This is the dress I asked about the fabric but I thought since I have it now and I was wondering about dating the dress itself I'd start a new thread (if that is ok?). The material is a thick-ish cotton (waffle) and it has a (broken) side metal zipper. I tried it on because it seems quite unusual to me. Does anyone have a clue about dating the actual dress? Aside from the broken zipper, the dress is in mint condition which makes me question if it's even vintage at all lol Thanks!
Gorgeous frock: it seems to be from about '47, just before Dior's New Look changed the silhouette. Lovely fabric.
