I purchased an Emilio Pucci skirt from a reputable online consignment store. Unfortunately I think it may be counterfeit. Below are my concerns:
    • The stitching is very sloppy. The thread varies from black, navy blue, to hot pink. The zipper stitching is particularly atrocious.
    • The label appears to be a vintage 1960s Pucci label on a modern print/ color scheme. There’s a suspect line of black stitching running along the bottom of the label.
    • The Pucci signature is off - the E looks more like an F
Luckily they have a fantastic return policy. I’m just intrigued to see if anyone agrees that it may be counterfeit. Thanks in advance! 90E4522C-1396-4FE9-A1EE-6A15BB98D69A.jpeg 44D83A25-EE1F-4A6D-A76D-158EC9625E6A.jpeg 5930351F-C081-402B-84A5-3A0000E71F2D.jpeg 5FC00C41-9ADB-42B3-A0A0-1BC5BCDE40B9.jpeg 536681EA-6EE3-4016-937C-DC8725B48613.jpeg 64841CF9-92F4-4B71-94D8-90E2004BAD1A.jpeg 9CE269AD-6EE5-4ED6-80EF-931C0615D319.jpeg BE0C21AF-1441-42BD-89CC-A3F10DE455E2.jpeg

You may not have seen in our forum rules that we don't authenticate, but we can talk about your skirt.

There isn't any way that an authentic, unaltered Pucci would have sloppy workmanship. If it were me, I'd return it.

    So sorry for the gaffe!

Thank you for your reply. I’m leaning towards keeping it just because the pattern is outrageous and fun. I agree that if (and that’s a big if) it’s authentic it was very poorly altered. I hope you have a great night!

I totally agree! The more I look at it the more mistakes I find. It’s almost like one of those Magic Eye posters of bad alterations.

I ordered the matching suit jacket. I can only imagine the alterations nightmare I’m about to unbox :hysterical:
