    Great questions Marian!

Summer woolens include tropical worsted and Palm Beach cloth.

Goodall Worsted Co., of Sanford, Maine, purchased the patent for a warm-weather wear fabric developed by William S. Nutter in 1908. Goodall called the fabric Palm Beach cloth and sold it directly to tailors and manufacturers. In 1931 the company began producing men's suits from that fabric as well. Here is a Palm Beach suit that was sold by Augusta Auctions: https://augusta-auction.com/search-past-sales?view=lot&id=13259&auction_file_id=29
    ...here's its label:

The original fabric was woven with cotton warp and mohair weft, but the definition has drifted and has been applied to other fabrics. Palm Beach is actually a trademarked name of the Palm Beach Company.
