I've done some reading into Dents gloves after buying cheap ones at the second hand shop for a trip. I see now that they both have 'Dents' on their inner tags, but I highly doubt they are real. Dent's website say they have little diamonds where the fingers join and that their gloves are only made in the UK now. These two say Made in China and Made in Hong Kong. Is this a case of a company trying to ride the coat tails of a more famous brand? Thank you, Alice P. S. They served me well on my trip, so I don't mind that they are fake excpet that I think it's dishonest marketing.
It's possible the company went through a phase where their quality was less high. Although Dents are a good brand, I somehow don't see them as being a target for counterfeiters, though I suppose anything is possible.
T Thats interesting then, thank you. I've searched and searched for examples of the inner tags online and can't find anything to compare to unfortunately. Can only find pictures of the outer tags which these didn't have. I did find that they used to produce gloves in Macau, making Hong Kong slightly more likely. I'll keep looking, thank you for your reply.
