1. Yes, remember Leisa had Addie Masters and found this...

The Affiliated Fashionists of California group formed in 1936 and called themselves the "Eight Designing Women". The group members were Louella Ballerino, Marjorie Montgomery, Mabs (aka Mabs of Hollywood or Mabs Barnes), Agnes Barrett, Addie Masters, Viola Dimmitt, Irene Bury, and Peggy Hunt. They felt as a group they could promote the California casual style which was new on the fashion scene.

In the early fifties, the membership changed. By 1954 the Affiliated Fashionists had six members: Addie Masters, Peggy Hunt, Irene Bury, De De Johnson, Marjorie Montgomery, and Jeannette Alexander.

Well, now we have Marjorie Montgomery.

This dress is made of a whip cream type material and is easy care, machine washable. It actually should be about two inches longer but someone just doubled the hem up and basted to make shorter. (did not cut off) Two little tiny bows at waist and back zipper is not metal. Seams are pinked.

Of course, I am thinking of something to make for Halloween costume, and I don't know why June Cleaver of Leave It To Beaver came to mind. They always wore such nice dresses and pearls when making dinner.

Here's some more specfic information for you:

Marjorie Montgomery (Gray) was one of the well-known California designers of the 30s-60s. She started in the 1926, designing pretty dresses and casual play clothes that typlified the California lifestyle. Her casual line was called "Marjorie's Things." In the mid 1930s, Montgomery joined with seven other California designers to form the Affiliated Fashionists of California, which also included Louella Ballerino and Addie Masters. Montgomery designed through the 1960s.
