Funky bikini...date please?!

LOVE this set. Bikini by Regine, France. Matching floppy hat and really cool clear buckle on the top. Early 1970's???

That is sooo cute! I dig the buckle, too. Before scrolling to the photos, I pictured just that 'sort of poochy' bottom when you mentioned early 70s.

Yes, I think it is early to mid 70s. How cute is that hat!

 

Bonnie, for some reason I think it is earlier than 70s - more
mid to late 60s. The plastic buckle, the boy cut bottoms
and the cutie=pie hat look 60s to me. I really should remember that era, although some of it passed in a bit of a
haze.

This will do very well...they are showing those bottoms and calling them "hotshorts" in the Victoria's Secret bathing suit line this year, the "boyshorts" have a little more of a definite "leg", but i would still think of them as boyshorts. It should crossover well to ladies who are have not been bit by the vintage bug too : )
